The handkerchief hem of the skirt is actually an effect via a drape panel that is sewn in at the geometric dropped waistline. The hip is closely fit with a pin tucked girdle across front and back. This pattern is for the more advanced sewer as instructions are very basic and lightly illustrated, they are not depicted in a step by step manner. 3 8" seams are given.
