Food Chain People tend not to play fairly with Aura Shards While it is important to have limiters on artifacts and enchantments in games of Commander, some cards can go overboard
Like Flynn Rider, Charming Rogue above, Cheshire Cat, Not All There is an excellent emerald card to get out early in the game to disrupt your opponents, forcing them into dilemmas that slow them down and ruin their plans
This starts to add up quickly once the rest of the deck kicks in
Tap Diamond Valley and sacrifice Child of Alara to gain 6 life before all other nonland permanents get destroyed from Child of Alaras death trigger
In time, either deck may prove to be great for competitive play, but right now, I'm not convinced either are as competitively viable as Rise of the Floodborn 's Amethyst/Steel deck , which is arguably still the most powerful Starter Deck to date
