The deck then plays a number of powerful early- to midgame Merfolks with powerful abilities including Deeproot Elite which bolsters your army with +1/+1 counters, a huge number of Merfolk with anthem effects including Master of the Pearl Trident, Merfolk Sovereign, Mist Dancer, Vodalian Hexcatcher, Merfolk Mistbinder, as well as merfolk with powerful draw abilities such as Seafloor Oracle, and many many more

In many cases, this makes it a much better card

While not the most flash of those cards, those of the uncommon rarity have certainly had their impact on the game
