Antique Watercolor Violets Valentine mid-century ceramic goblet 5 1/4" t x 3The little red heart at upper left feels rather like a distant sun or moon, pulling these violets toward it like a magnet. I think over time there has been some sort of reaction in the purple and green paint, giving the flowers a strange, almost electric radiance that is pretty fantastic. And then "Viola" humbly written in pencil at lower left, which in my imagination names both the flower and the sender of this lovely violet valentine. 5 1 2" x 3 7
