I don't know enough to know for certain

there appears to be some fraktur style lettering done in black ink on the reverse

but think it is really great just as it is

a rare and tremendously charming piece with a fantastic presence

I find his work consistently compelling

Satisfying and Lovely Solid Brass Wedge Doorstop ceramic slab pot I don't know enough toA useful thing, very effective at holding open a door, but more than that a very lovely and satisfying object, which I'd be just as inclined to use as a paper weight, or add to a sculptural arrangement (a great complement to some geometric solid blocks, for example.) Solid brass, nice weight and feel in the hand, with with some good wear at the tip attesting to having indeed done some duty as a doorstop. 3 3 4" x 1" x 7 8. Very good condition, great
