It's a cigar box so pretty light in weight but structurally sound and the lid opens and closes smoothly

and for the pencil-drawn lace at the bottom of their legs--and also for this blue and gold printed dress

but definitely 19th c

with a small hole in the black paper at upper left

both of which were belted with paper and tied (folded) in the back
